I have now reached the half way point of the Hillsdale College course titled "The Real American Founding : A Conversation."
It feels inadequate to merely recommend that people take this course. No matter how much or how little you know about the ideas and concepts discussed in this course, you will benefit from it and have a more complete understanding of what the country was meant to look like, and what it actually ended up looking like.
If all the citizens knew and understood the concepts and history of the founding, the national discussions that are taking place currently would look very different. People would mostly talk in terms of fundamental things and agree or disagree on that basis instead of the childish nonsense that passes for intelligent debate today.
To those who read both my FaceBook feed and this newsletter, my apologies for the repetition.
If you take the course (most conversations about 1/2 hour in duration) I think you will be pleased. You will certainly have a better understanding than you previously had about what was intended at the founding.
Thank-you! Your page proves that "value added" doesn't have be a tax.
