Associate Justice Breyer has announced he will retire from the SCOTUS.
Back in February of 2020, Joe Biden was instructed by his handlers to say this:
"We talked about the Supreme Court — I’m looking forward to making sure there’s a black woman on the Supreme Court to make sure we, in fact, get everyone represented."
And again in March he read this off the teleprompter as directed:
"Number one I committed that if I’m elected as president and have the opportunity to appoint someone to the courts, I’ll appoint the first black woman to the court. It’s required that they have representation now — it’s long overdue."
Sadly, but to no great surprise, it looks like his handlers think the Court is a place where people get represented, not the law. They think that the three branches of government were all designed to do the same thing. Perhaps they think that the three branches of government were designed to be consolidated into one ruling body reflecting the whims of the populace? A kind of triune mechanism for implementing populism.
Actually, they know that was not the idea. They aren’t that dumb. But they are that devious, and they think they have a better idea. Their idea is that they themselves will be better off if they are in control of all three branches. Total control of everything, including everyone "represented."
Maybe they think that the people are now sufficiently dumbed down to the point that they will swallow that concept whole.
If so, the only question is, are they right?
Am reading speculation that Breyer's resignation is an admission that most high level democrats are expecting the party to take an extreme beating in the upcoming election.
Doesn't make any difference if they are right or wrong, they will prevail because they don't care what the citizens think.
